I had an already existing fear of confined suffocating spaces .I visited a religious cave ,some 100 m passage but very difficult and constricting pathway wherein I had to squeeze myself against the cave walls and forms .I did ok telling myself to keep calm and keep on moving but when I was right in middle of path ,the power supply of cave went off and I was left in complete dark (though I had my parents present there along ) ,it was only few minutes (2 min) before the power was back but it left me suffocated and in shock ,even thinking of it is making my breath heavy and difficult .is there anyway to make myself come out of that shock and make me feel better .another thing I would mention is that there was no serious shortage of air in that cave and 100's of people visit it everyday ,it's just that I panicked and felt suffocated at thought of being trapped in a tunnel in absolute darkness ,is there anyway to get over it ?
