I have been receiving psychotherapy for more than 3 years. I have used sertraline for about 8 months last year, but it didn't change anything for the better or worse, so I am off it now.

No matter how much I try, I keep going back to the "love-triangle" of self-torture, self-pity and self-sabotaging. My question is if this is how far I can come with my current therapist. I mean, is 3-4 years of a time together enough time to tell if a therapist has helped as much as he/she could to a patient?

Hi Catherine,

Thank you very much for your reply. My therapist is a psychologist and our sessions were cognitive behavior therapy. Even though I do realize that there are some changes in the way I perceive my environment and life, what I "do" in the end is the same. I don't seem to be able to break free from my self-sabotaging habits. That is why I suspect if this is how far we can come with my current therapist.

An amazing testimony on a spell caster who brought my wife back to me..
