A friend told me about a story she heard on NPR a while back relating to the "weirdo factor," in reference to people who are deemed weird while being a little bit different than most. This definition of weird comes from not doing something strange once in a while, but instead, an overall tendencey to be a little out there. My friend mentioned the article discussed how being overly positive and friendly towards someone you meet can help hide the essence behind being the "weird" one. I'm also attributing the "weirdo factor" to introvertedness or social akwardness.
