maybe try finding something you love to do and really focusing on it. this would help especially with something you've never really tried before because if you stick to it, you will see that you can improve and gain confidence out of your success in making progress. also, always remember to focus on the positives - anything has a - and + to it but by looking at what can be done and what is good, you with help train your brain not to focus on the bad things. so don't tell yourself anything negative, and if you do - just stop! if you can't think of anything good about yourself in that moment, at least just stop the bad thoughts about yourself from flourishing. this is really hard to do sometimes, but practice is key. detect the negative thoughts and stop them asap because that's the only way for new and potentially positive thoughts to come up. for example, if someone were to sprain their foot, they would have to stop thinking about all the things they can't do or can't have but rather what they can do. so thinking about how much it sucks that they can no longer play basket ball, or that they can't drive or whatever - they can focus on what they can do to help the rehabilitation process. it doesn't change the fact of the matter in reality, but it changes the way the mind thinks about it and makes the days until they can play basketball more pleasant. or if someone is dieting, they can't eat sugar and candy all day, but if they allow themselves only 3 pieces, they can stop thinking about how they want candy now and start thinking about being allowed to have some in just a few hours. i hope this helps, you deserve to feel confident and adequate. you are only human and anything is possible
