it means you have the same think before the second person and it is a type of yes "YA YOU ALSO GOT IT"

some time what ever we wish to say we are not able to due hasitation,lack of words etc and when the second person say your desire a type of exclamation come out and we say"absolutely".

it is also true when a buisnessman say this word he only wants to make you feel you are intelligent.

That simply means they want to say the truth, however sometimes people lie and although they say : ' Absolutely ', doesn't mean they don't go lie...
