A former friend--a philosophy major-- would talk endlessly about his ideas, theories, etc. He was not interested in having a dialogue--when he talked it was one long sentence that could go on for as long as you could tolerate it. I am reasonably intelligent and don't think he was just talking over my head.
Many others observed this same characteristic and he was viewed as rather strange, except by maybe two other men who also enjoyed these trips into the verbal stratosphere.
What was going on with him? Is this a disorder of some sort? The fact that he made no sense was really more troubling than the endless talk, which I've noticed in others.
