The daughter in law met the son whilst a exchange student at University. The parents accepted her into the family, provided emotional and financial support and loved her as their own daughter.
She spent a lot of time in their home while the son was working away from home, and accepted their financial help as well as asking them to babysit while she worked.
After nine years she wanted to end the marriage but expressed a wish to remain friends with the family.
She met someone else on line and he moved in with her almost immediately.
At this time she suddenly refused to let the father see his children anymore, or even call them, and also cut off any contact with his parents.
She would not even say hello when the grandmother called to talk to the children.
