why does a man talk like a baby all the time

my 49 yr old boyfriend talks like a baby all the time  ie: eggs are eggies, chicken breasts are chicken boobies...."look at the cow" and "hi puddy cat" as we are driving down the road...he says these things in a baby voice.  irritates me, turns me off, and i cannot stand it anymore....when we are shopping at walmart he points at everything and names the items in a baby voice and adds "ies" onto the the end of every item. for example hot dogs are hot doggies, ice cream is icie cream, etc...all are in a high pitched voice around the age of a 3yr old....his behavior mimics that of a 3yr old....he only has one friend and have never heard him talk like that around him...ive been to his job and he does not talk that way at work either.  he also has most of the symptoms of a narcissist. he shows no affection, no intimacy, no sex, and he laughs at things that are not funny at all.....any ideas anyone?  been dating for 7 months....im ready to dump him
