I have a 2 year old who has been fighting with objects. She gets upset and hits them or yells at them. For example, if she's having a hard time turning the page of a book, she hits it.
On the other hand, I have noticed that my mother uses a lot of personification with her. For example, she tells my daughter that "the book gets hurt if you don't flip the page with care" or that "the knife is bad and you shouldn't touch it". Is all this normal/correct? Is there anything written about this type of behavior?
