There is really only one type of clinical psychologist, or at least the states usually only license a general category called clinical psychologist. Clinical psychologists can perform in many different areas, however. Some have special training with children. There are other specialties, such substance abuse, forensic psychology, testing, disabilities, and industrial/organizational psychology. There are also different techniques for providing therapy, such as behavioral, cognitive behavioral, dynamic, etc.
